I was born and raised in Calgary by parents who were both raised on farms, so it’s no surprise animals have always been a major part of my life. My first family dog was a bichon/poodle mix named Sudsie, my mom and I now share ownership of a Havanese named Ollie, and I’m currently waiting on a cockapoo puppy to call my own!
As the daughter of a vet, I’ve always been interested in the care and keeping of our fur family and wanted to be a vet myself growing up, until I realized how many years of schooling I’d have to go through! Luckily enough, I found a happy medium when I started working my first ever job at Acadia Drive back in 2014 as a receptionist, where I still get to learn about animal health and care in a more casual way.
My absolute favourite thing about my job is all the furry friends that I get to meet every day (who doesn’t love cuddling puppies and kittens??) but a very close second is my crazy coworkers who always keep things interesting and entertaining. A fun fact about me is that I love roller-skating! Whether it's on the street, at the skatepark, or on the roller derby track with my team the B-52 Bellas; for me, life is infinitely better on 8 wheels!
